Este cambio hormonal aumenta el riesgo de desarrollar resistencia a la insulina, una condici\u00f3n que puede preceder al s\u00edndrome metab\u00f3lico y la diabetes tipo 2.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-white-background-color has-background\"><strong>Lo m\u00e1s importante es que este riesgo est\u00e1 relacionado con la baja de estr\u00f3genos, no con la edad.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-white-background-color has-background\"><strong>Es decir, incluso las mujeres que entran en menopausia temprana pueden presentar alteraciones metab\u00f3licas similares.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\"><br>Detectar y tratar la resistencia a la insulina a tiempo ofrece una oportunidad valiosa para recuperar la sensibilidad a la insulina antes de que se desarrollen condiciones m\u00e1s graves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:100px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">C\u00f3mo detectar si eres resistente.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">Se eval\u00faa con an\u00e1lisis de sangre, especialmente:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Insulina en ayunas (fasting insulin)<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"\">Valor normal aproximado: &lt; 5 \u00b5IU\/mL<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">Glucosa normal + insulina alta puede indicar resistencia a la insulina.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Glucosa en ayunas<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"\">Normal: 70\u201385 mg\/dL<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">Prediabetes: 100\u2013125 mg\/dL<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">Diabetes tipo 2: &gt;125 mg\/dL<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Hemoglobina A1C<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">Mide el promedio del az\u00facar en sangre de los \u00faltimos 3 meses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"\">Normal: 4.8 \u2013 5.5 hormonal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">La salud metab\u00f3lica durante la menopausia no depende s\u00f3lo de la dieta o el ejercicio, sino tambi\u00e9n de un equilibrio hormonal adecuado. Sin embargo, se ha observado que las mujeres que utilizan terapia hormonal de reemplazo (HRT) tienen hasta un 20% menos incidencia de diabetes tipo 2, destacando el papel protector de los estr\u00f3genos en el metabolismo.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:100px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">QUE PODEMOS HACER!<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">Nueva estrategia en tu estilo de vida, nutrici\u00f3n y ejercicio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">NUTRICI\u00d3N<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">Comer alimentos de bajo \u00edndice gluc\u00e9mico en la menopausia ayuda a controlar mejor la glucosa, reducir picos de insulina y apoyar el peso y la energ\u00eda.<br>Ejemplos pr\u00e1cticos:<br>\u2022 Verduras: br\u00f3coli, espinaca, lechuga, pepino, calabac\u00edn.<br>\u2022 Frutas: manzana, pera, frutos rojos.<br>\u2022 Legumbres: lentejas, garbanzos, frijoles.<br>\u2022 Cereales integrales: avena, quinoa, arroz integral, pasta integral al dente.<br>\u2022 Grasas saludables: aguacate, nueces, almendras, semillas de lino.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\"><strong>Evita estos alimentos.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">Alimentos con alto \u00edndice gluc\u00e9mico (suben r\u00e1pido la glucosa):<br>\u2022 <strong>Pan blanco, pan de molde, baguette.<\/strong><br>\u2022 Arroz blanco.<br>\u2022 Papas fritas o al horno, pur\u00e9 de papa.<br>\u2022 Cereales de desayuno azucarados (corn flakes, arroz inflado).<br>\u2022 Reposter\u00eda y boller\u00eda: donas, muffins, galletas dulces, pasteles.<br>\u2022 Refrescos azucarados, jugos envasados, bebidas deportivas con az\u00facar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">Lo seeeee, yo soy adicta a la pasteler\u00eda que te puedo decir&#8230; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">Aumentar el consumo de la fibra ,  25\u201330 g al d\u00eda es otra estrategia muy \u00fatil en esta etapa.<br>\u2022 La fibra hace que  la absorci\u00f3n de glucosa sea mas lenta, ayuda a controlar picos de az\u00facar e insulina y favorece la saciedad.<br>\u2022 Tambi\u00e9n contribuye a regular el tr\u00e1nsito intestinal, mejora el perfil de colesterol y apoya la salud del microbioma, todo clave en la menopausia.<br>\u2022 Buenas fuentes: frutas enteras, verduras, legumbres, avena, quinoa, pan integral aut\u00e9ntico, semillas (ch\u00eda, lino) y frutos secos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">Fibra soluble. Yo la conozco como Metamucil. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">SUPLEMENTACI\u00d3N<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\"><strong>Magnesio<\/strong><br>El magnesio mejora la sensibilidad a la insulina, regula la glucosa en sangre y reduce el riesgo de diabetes tipo 2, ideal en menopausia. Ayuda con fatiga, sue\u00f1o y sofocos. Dosis: 300\u2013400 mg\/d\u00eda (citrato o glicinato). Fuentes: espinacas, almendras, aguacate.<br><strong>Zinc<\/strong><br>El zinc apoya el metabolismo de la glucosa, reduce inflamaci\u00f3n y mejora la acci\u00f3n de la insulina. Estudios lo vinculan a menor resistencia en mujeres posmenop\u00e1usicas. Dosis: 15\u201330 mg\/d\u00eda con comida. Fuentes: semillas de calabaza, ostras, carne magra, garbanzos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\"><strong>Vitamina C<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">La vitamina C ayuda a mejorar la sensibilidad a la insulina y reduce la glucemia en ayunas. Estudios muestran que mujeres con niveles bajos de vitamina C tienen mayor resistencia a la insulina, por lo que suplementar puede ser \u00fatil. Incluye frutas c\u00edtricas, kiwis o suplementos (500 mg\/d\u00eda bajo supervisi\u00f3n).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">ACTIVIDAD F\u00cdSICA<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">El ejercicio regular mejora la sensibilidad a la insulina, ayuda a controlar el peso y reduce riesgos metab\u00f3licos en menopausia. Recomendaciones: 150 min\/semana de actividad moderada (caminar r\u00e1pido, nataci\u00f3n) m\u00e1s 2 d\u00edas de fuerza (pesas ligeras, yoga).
